Psalm 24:3-5 Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. He will receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
Having clean hands means much more than washing before eating. Clean hands are an indication of integrity. Clean hands are all about doing good. We use our hands to help each other, and to give to each other.
A pure heart is what we need to keep our hands clean. What we do begins in our hearts. Those with pure hearts don't deceive others. They speak the truth in love.
Do you have clean hands? Do you care for others? Do you look for ways to give and to serve others? It won't happen unless your heart is pure. And your heart will never really be pure until Jesus washes it clean.
Are you trusting Jesus to cleanse you from your sin?
