2 Peter 1:3-4 His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.
God has called us to Himself, He has given us life, and He has even given us godliness through Jesus. He has promised us that we will be conformed to the image of Jesus, and “become partakers of the divine nature” as we live for Him instead of for our own sinful desires.
God has "granted to us his precious and very great promises" beginning with salvation. And it doesn't end there. In fact, his promises will never end. Eternity will be filled with the joy of living in His promises forever.
