But did you know that a group of rhinos are a crash? When they charge, you discover why. But rhinos can only see 30 feet in front of them. When they charge at top speed, they really don't see what they are going to encounter.
When we walk with Jesus, quite often we only see the next step. That is why so many of us walk slowly, crawl, or even stand still squinting into the future, trying to see the end. But God calls us to walk with Him, going at His pace, and not worrying about what we will crash into.
We are not called to be reckless, but trusting. Not blind, but obedient. Not foolish, but willing. The only question on the table is "Can God be trusted?" If He can, He will give you the outcome He desires.
God just allowed my computer to "crash". It feels the same as walking into a wall. I didn't see it coming. It was a sudden stop. Now that same question is in front of me: Will I trust God to give me what I need today, this week, and into the future?
Even as I try to recover data, forms, reports, sermons and details of my life and ministry, do I believe that God holds my future?
I know, many of you are going through far worse moments. That is why this is such a critical question. If we don't trust God in the small moments, we probably won't trust Him when the stakes are high.
Running at 60 miles per hour, seeing 30 feet, wondering what is at 31 feet, Jesus can be trusted. He is still God beyond the crash!
