The Academy Awards Ceremony was last Sunday. I didn't watch. I don't care who won. But there are certain "news" feeds online that have not stopped discussing the clothes and actions of those who attended.
The one and only important question on the red carpet appears to be "Who are you wearing?" The discussion continues a week later.
That is a great question for followers of Jesus. What is your identity? Who are you living for? What is your motive for what you do? How do you describe yourself and your reason for living? What is the one single most important factor of your life? In other words, Who Are You Wearing?
When God sent His son Jesus to live, to die and to rise again, He did it for you. His desire is that you will love Him as He first loved you. He wants to change your name from Lost to Found, from Sinner to Saint, from Hostage to Ransomed and from Slave to Free.
When He changes your name, it is simply the outcome of God changing your identity. You become His child. And for eternity you wear the identity of Jesus Christ. God conforms you to the image of His Son.
